Enhancing Production with SandRob Automation Amidst Pandemic Challenges
Bucci Composites Spa, an Italian company specializing in carbon composite components for the aerospace and automotive sectors, partnered with Roboticom to automate their production processes. Initially contacting Roboticom in 2015, Bucci finalized an agreement in late 2020 to implement the SandRob solution for automating the bonding of structural elements, crucial for securing new orders in the automotive and aerospace sectors. A second SandRob plant was installed in September 2022. WEISS Automotive Revolutionizes Production with SandRob Automation Amid Skilled Labor Shortage
Since July 2017, WEISS Automotive GmbH, a TIER 1 supplier for luxury car brands like Porsche, Lamborghini, Bentley, and Mercedes, has partnered with Roboticom to automate surface preparation and polishing processes. Initially installing two SandRob plants, WEISS was impressed by the robots’ ability to deliver consistent, high-quality finishes, addressing the shortage of skilled labor in Germany. The success led to 11 SandRob systems being deployed, enhancing production capabilities and safety by reducing human exposure to harmful chemicals. During the COVID-19 lockdown, these systems ensured continuous operation, meeting customer demands and solidifying a strong, respectful partnership.
